FA CHARTER AWARD 2002

Welcome to Portishead Juniors FC

Portishead Juniors was formed in 1974 to provide football for children aged 5 to 16.  The club now runs over 20 teams, most of which play in either the Woodspring, North Somerset or Bristol Girls' Leagues.  Last year we became fully affiliated to Portishead Town FC  and we now play many matches at Portishead Town's Bristol Road ground.

Since 2002 we have been an FA Charter Club and we operate to the highest standards set by the FA for youth football clubs. We take the Standard very seriously, and all players, managers, coaches and spectators are expected to adhere to our codes of conduct.  As a club we encourage all parents to support good play and sportsmanship, irrespective of which team is playing and we praise effort and performance more than results.

If you are interested in joining Juniors contact the manager for the relevant team.  All their details are on the contacts pages of this site.  Come along and join the fun!

31/12/08 Charter Standard Award
Portishead Juniors has just received confirmation from the Football Association that the above award, received in 2002 & renewed in 2005, has just been renewed again for a further three years. This is great news for all officials & players & keeps the club up where it belongs.

16/12/08 Clapton Lane pitches
When we book a pitch you may be allocated which pitch to use, this could include the new ones. The school will also only take bookings through Nic Dumine so if you need a pitch that is not on the fixture list you need to speak with Nic. Also you must use the nets from the school and not take nets from the football club, this way by working with the school and GVG we will hopefully keep the pitches playable.

16/10/08 Sponsorship
Portishead Juniors require a sponsor or sponsors for this website. If you are interested, please get in touch by using the Contact Us facility to discuss further.
